FlexTech Alliance Chairmen Present at the National Academy of Sciences Workshop on Flexible Electronics for Security, Manufacturing and Growth in the U.S. Sep 24, 2010 FlexTech Alliance today announced Thomas T. Edman, Chairman of the Governing Board at FlexTech Alliance and Malcolm J. Thompson, PhD, Chairman Emeritus of FlexTech Alliance and Chairman & CEO of RPO, delivered presentations at the National Academy of Sciences workshop titled “Flexible Electronics for Security, Manufacturing, and Growth in the United States”. The purpose of the meeting was to describe the state of the art in flexible electronics (FE), particularly in the U.S. versus worldwide. An equally important objective was to describe potential applications that would provide value to end users and increase U.S. manufacturing expertise and employment. The project will focus on furthering Polyera’s state-of-the-art n-type results through continued increases in electron-carrier mobility, yield, and bias-stress stability. FlexTech Alliance Completes Contract with HP to Develop Unique Self-Aligned Imprint Lithography (SAIL) Technology Jun 16, 2009 - FlexTech Alliance The FlexTech Alliance today announced the completion of a multiple phase project with HP Labs, HP’s central research facility, to develop a process for creating large-area arrays of thin- film transistors (TFTs) on polymer substrates using exclusively roll-to-roll (R2R) processes. HP’s unique approach, which combines plasma deposition and etching with self-aligned imprint lithography (SAIL), is potentially more efficient and less costly than existing methods of manufacturing thin-film transistor arrays.
